# Sentiment

> When AI mentions you, how positively it describes you, scored 0 to 100.

**Definition.** The tone of the answers that mention your brand, scaled to 0 to 100. Higher is more positive. Sentiment is an average over mentions, so a run with no mentions leaves it blank rather than showing zero.

## How Koalr scores it

Each answer that names you is classified for how it treats you: from **Strong Endorsement** through **Moderate Recommendation** and **Neutral Listing** down to **Critical Mention**. Those classifications produce the 0 to 100 score. The Prompt detail view shows the classification for each answer so you can read the tone yourself.

## How to read it

* **Strong sentiment is a genuine asset.** AI describes you well when it brings you up.
* **Weak sentiment usually means inaccuracy.** AI often repeats something that was true years ago, or was never true. The Dashboard's **How AI describes you** cards show the exact words AI reaches for and the constraints it raises (capacity, hours, scope), which tells you what to clarify in your content.
* **Constraints are not always negatives.** "Only serves the South West" is a factual boundary AI emphasises, not criticism. Decide whether it is one you want stated.

## Branded prompts

Sentiment on branded prompts (ones that name you) is the most useful branded figure: when asked about you directly, is the tone favourable? Branded sentiment is shown per prompt and is excluded from the Dashboard average. See [Branded prompts](/set-up/branded-prompts).
