<Note>
  This page appears for organisations that told Koalr they have more than 100 employees, or did not answer the question. The data is thin for small and local brands, so it is hidden for them rather than shown empty.

Two tabs, two windows on AI search.

## Google AI Overviews

The AI answer box that appears above normal Google results. For prompts in your category, Koalr checks whether that summary mentions or cites your brand and how you compare with competitors.

Headline numbers: **Total Mentions**, **AI Search Volume** (the estimated monthly volume of the prompts where AI cites you), **Cited Sources**, **Domains Citing** and your **Avg Position** in the citation list (lower is better; 1 is cited first). **Your Share of AI Citations** compares domain citations with your competitors and ranks you, and **URL Types** shows the kinds of pages that win (company websites, social media, Wikipedia, video).

Google only generates Overviews for broad, high-volume questions, so a low score often means Google is not generating Overviews for your category yet, not that you are invisible. **Prompts You're Appearing In** lists the prompts where you are cited or used as a source, with position, search volume and trend; **View** opens the answer. **Your Pages AI Is Citing** lists the pages doing the work; select one to see its prompts marked **Winning**, **At Risk** or **Opportunity**. **Gap Opportunities** lists high-volume prompts where competitors are cited and you are not.

## AI Search Index

The shared source pool that Claude, Perplexity and Mistral draw from when answering. Run a **discovery scan** to see which of your pages sit in that pool.

| Metric                   | Meaning                                                                                                                        |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Prompts Citing** | The number of prompts where your domain appears in the source pool |
| **Prompt Coverage Rate** | The percentage of tracked prompts where you have at least one page in the pool |
| **Indexed Pages** | Unique pages of yours found across all source pools |
| **Avg Pool Position** | Where your pages sit in the pool. Lower is better: a stronger position is more likely to be picked when the answer is composed |
| **Share of Citations** | How often your domain appears in the pools compared with competitors |

Click a competitor to see the full source ranking for a prompt, and the **Search Volume Trend** for the volume behind it over 3, 6 or 12 months.

## How this differs from Sources

[Sources](/monitor/sources) lists the specific domains and pages cited in the answers Koalr captured. AI Search Index looks one step earlier, at the pool of pages a platform could pick from. Coverage there is strongest for national brands with broad search demand; sparse data for a smaller brand is a signal of opportunity, not failure.
