# Prompts

> Every question you track: visibility, sentiment, competitors and platforms per prompt, in list, citation-grid and heatmap views.

The Prompts page (titled **Prompt Explorer** in the app) is where you manage the questions and read how each one performs. Read it as one list or **Group by topic**; branded prompts sit pinned in their own group at the top either way.

## The table

| Column           | What it shows                                                                                                                                  |
| ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Prompt** | The exact question sent to the AI platforms |
| **Visibility** | The percentage of answers mentioning you for this prompt, from the latest completed run only, so it matches the Dashboard |
| **Location** | The country the platforms are queried from. All answers come from that market |
| **Sentiment** | Average sentiment of the answers that mention you, latest run only |
| **Competitors** | Tracked competitors AI named for this prompt. Only competitors you have added are shown |
| **Mentioned on** | Which platforms named you |
| **Actions** | **Accept** or **Reject** a suggested prompt; the row menu on an active prompt offers **Move to topic**, **Mark as branded** and **Deactivate** |

Click any row to open the [prompt detail](/monitor/prompt-detail) with the real answers.

## Views

* **List**: the table above, grouped by topic if you choose.
* **Citation grid**: prompts against platforms, showing where your site was cited as a source. Empty until a run has completed.
* **Visibility heatmap**: prompts against platforms, tinted by visibility, for spotting a platform-wide gap at a glance.

## Filters

Narrow by whether your brand was mentioned (**All Results**) and by topic (**All Topics**). Every figure on the page comes from the latest completed run, so there is no date range here; open a prompt for its history over time.

## Active, suggested, inactive

Switch between the prompts running now, the ones Koalr suggests, and the ones you have retired. See [Prompts and topics](/set-up/prompts-and-topics) for how to add, accept, edit and deactivate.

## Branded prompts

<Info>
  Branded prompts (ones that contain your brand name) are excluded from every rolled-up metric. AI will always mention you when the question names you, so including them would drag the numbers towards 100% and hide the real picture. See [Branded prompts](/set-up/branded-prompts).
</Info>

The pinned **Branded prompts** group carries its own note explaining the difference, and each row shows when it was last checked (weekly). Use the row menu to mark or unmark a prompt as branded if the detection is wrong.

## Mentioned versus cited

Two things can happen in an answer: your brand is **named**, or your site is **cited as a source**. Visibility here counts named mentions. Where your site was cited but the brand never named, the row shows it as a **Source** mention so the full picture stays visible without inflating the rate. See [Citations and mentions](/metrics/citations-and-mentions).

<Tip>
  Historical figures are occasionally recalculated in the background after a change to how mentions are detected. A short "recalculating" notice appears while that happens; the numbers settle within minutes.
